Housing Heroes Awards 2017
We've been shorltised for four of the prestigious Housing Heroes Awards 2017, run jointly by the Chartered Institute of Housing and Inside Housing.
Congratulations to our shortlisters:
Gill Parton - Inspirational Colleague of the Year
Gill has dedicated over 17 years to social housing in Wolverhampton. She's worked for Wolverhampton Homes as an Estate Manager, a Community Impact Officer and more recently, as Housing Development Officer. On top of her everyday job role, Gill somehow found the time to establish and chair our Proud To Be Me Network. She's an outspoken individual who serves as a voice and an inspiration to her colleagues and customers.
Keishia Hamilton - Mentor of the Year
Keishia joined our Skills Development team in 2016 as our Functional Skills Tutor, where she helps 19 to 24 year olds to achieve Level Two qualifications in Maths and English. Keishia has real passion for her work and wants nothing more than to see young people succeed in life.
Human Resources and Skills Development - Central Service Team of the Year
Our HR and SD team regularly go above and beyond to help both staff, partner organisations and the communities we serve. Over the last four years, they've developed and delivered the award-winning LEAP programme, which has seen a number of tenants move into full-time employment for the first time.
Ann Ramsbottom - Tenant Lifetime Contribution
Ann has been involved in community work since she was just 16, from helping out with typing to being a Tenants’ Champion on the Board. She has been a voice for the wider community and works passionately to ensure all tenants have access to the services they need and deserve.
The awards ceremony takes place on Monday 26th June at Housing 2017 in Manchester, at which time we'll find out whether our shortlisters will take the top spot.
