Believing in accessibility for all

Neighbourhood and Community Standard

This standard sets out what landlords such as Wolverhampton Homes must meet when it comes to the management of shared spaces; social, environmental and economic wellbeing; anti-social behaviour and hate incidents; and domestic abuse.

Consumer Standards

  • Domestic abuse

The Regulator of Social Housing says we must work with other agencies that are tackling domestic abuse, to ensure our customers can access appropriate support and advice.

We must also have a policy for how we recognise and effectively respond to cases of domestic abuse.

  • Local co-operation

The Regulator of Social Housing insists we work with relevant partners to promote social, environmental and economic wellbeing in the areas where we provide social housing.

  • Safety of shared spaces

We must work with customers, other landlords and relevant organisations to take all reasonable steps to ensure shared spaces are safe.

Shared spaces are those spaces associated with customers’ homes and used by them, but are not our responsibility, rather than communal areas that we have direct responsibilities for.
