  • What the team does

    The Housing Needs Assessment team:

    • assesses housing applications
    • updates housing applications following changes of circumstances
    • manages incoming enquires regarding housing solutions
    • provides housing advice and support with the Homes in the City system

It provides a frontline service to customers, normally by phone or by email/text. However, it tailors its service to the needs of the customer.

  • How this benefits customers

As a frontline service, the team assesses customers housing needs in line with the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Housing Allocations Policy based on the information customer provider on their housing application form and the supporting information they provide.

  • What customers can expect

Phone calls and contacts are responded to within three working days. Emails are responded to within five working days.

  • How we measure success

    The team analyses:

    • the number of housing applications processed
    • the number of responses given to customers
  • How we continue to improve

It continuously looks for ways to make the application process more efficient.
