Amie Koner, Tenancy Officer at Wolverhampton Homes
“Hello all, hope you're keeping well and it's been great catching up with many of you. There's lots to look forward to this Spring with many community events, including the Queen's Jubilee celebrations in June. Check out the full details later on in this newsletter.
"Remember, if you're out and about on the estate or enjoying your balcony or garden with the lighter nights upon us, please respect your neighbours by keeping noise levels down. Let's all work together to make Heath Town a great place to be for all. Have a great day!"
A message from us at Wolverhampton Homes and United Living
Working together, Wolverhampton Homes and United Living oversee the building work. Therefore, it's best that we give you a joint update.
Scaffolding at Campion House
We started the scaffolding around Campion House at the beginning of May. The scaffolding will allow United Living to start the external wrapping, which is what adds the pop of colour to the outside as well as improving heat efficiency. Once this is finished, we will improve the inside communal areas of the block.
After we’ve finished the scaffolding at Campion House, we will start scaffolding Longfield House which will be around Autumn time.
Join us for a coffee morning 🌞
Every last Tuesday of each month we host a coffee morning in the tenants meeting room located on the 2nd floor of Brockfield House, from 10am until 12 noon. We welcome tenants to come and have a chat with us over a hot drink. It's been great seeing you at the coffee mornings so far. It’s an opportunity to catch up on current works and raise any concerns. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Parking progress
We have started making improvements to the car park at the front of Chervil Rise block 62-170. This will mean:
- a better layout
- better street lighting
- more CCTV
- a new footpath
It's set to take about 13 weeks to complete so watch this space for improvements coming soon!
Clover Ley and Chervil Rise
We are completing building work at Clover Ley and Chervil Rise (even numbers) to ensure they are finished to the best standard. You will see us working on certain deck access blocks and we will keep you informed of any updates.
Your new tenant and resident meeting room
Working closely with your Tenant and Resident Association (TRA), we are developing the new tenant and resident meeting room, which will be available for future meetings or community events. Check out the plan in the image below. We hope to see residents using it for future gatherings, and for many years to come. We hope you like it!
Stella Bird (right), Senior Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) at United Living
"Some of you may have seen me out and about on the estate. I’m really thrilled at what has been achieved so far and our hope is to create not just a great place to live, but a community residents can be proud of.
"The Customer Care team and I are here to support and help you through the works. Please don't hesitate to chat to me if you see me out and about. I'd love to say hello!"
You can contact Stella Bird, Senior RLO, with any customer care enquiries. Please call: 07825 879384

Updates from the City of Wolverhampton Council
Here’s an update on each of the building sites since our last edition.
Site One on Hobgate Road
Since our last update there has been significant progress made on this site. The structure of all 18 new council homes have begun and you will start to see the shell of the new plots. The contractor doing the building work, Engie, is dedicated and working hard to get these properties finished. They are hoping to complete this site by early 2023.
Site Two on Hobgate Road
We would like to thank all residents for their cooperation in moving their vehicles from this site which was the old temporary car park. This has meant Engie has now been able to commence work and are making really good progress, starting with the groundworks.
Site Three on Hobgate Road
Work will start on this site over the upcoming weeks. At the moment this site is being used for storage.
Residents on Hobgate Road will have noticed that some of the road calming measures, such as speed bumps, have been taken out. This is to help Engie complete the works in the area. New road calming measures have been planned for later in the year as the new build housing develops.
Site Six on Tithe Croft
On this site, you will see the foundations and structures of the new homes being developed. These homes are being built at pace and are set to be complete by early 2023.Â
Local Lettings Plan
The draft plan has now been developed and has been shared with your Tenant and Resident Association (TRA) in the first instance for comment. If you'd like to join the TRA, you're welcome to email Victoria, one of the members. Once the TRA has provided feedback, the Local Lettings Plan will then go through our governance procedures for approval. Thank you for your patience.
A polite reminder
A reminder to all residents to keep clear of all entrances or gates when parking your cars. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and we thank you for your cooperation.
If you have any questions, please contact Lucy Hill or Sangita Kular.
