Possession of a property following cannabis and dog-breeding offence
We were recently awarded possession of a property, as a tenant was using their flat to grow cannabis, and breeding dogs without a licence. Upon notification of this by West Midlands Police, we took immediate action. Due to the breach of the tenancy, the tenant will be excluded from the housing register.
-
Injunction obtained for two individuals
In response to a disorder incident at Red Oak House, our Anti-Social Behaviour team worked quickly to secure emergency injunctions against two individuals who were causing harm to the local community. We trust that the action will discourage others and reduce the risk of further issues.

Having a more visible presence
We are working closely with the Heath Town Neighbourhood Policing Team to increase our presence across the estate. This is part of our renewed approach across the city, to support tenants to feel safe in their homes.
Keep your family safe from falls from balconies and windows
The following guidance is provided to help keep you and your family safe from falls:
- Move furniture away from openings
- Use opening restrictors where there is a need to keep your windows open
- Report any faulty window latches or safety devices to us as soon as possible
- Contact us if you are concerned about the safety of the operation of your window or balcony doors
Making the most of the good weather with a barbeque?
If so, please stay safe:
- never pour petrol, meths or other accelerants on to a barbecue
- make sure your barbecue is in good working order
- never leave the barbecue unattended
- keep children away from hot surfaces and open flames
- ensure your barbeque is resting on a flat surface, positioned away from any flammables, including clothes, decorations, dry weeds and branches
- always keep a water bottle handy
Please note, tenants are not permitted to have lit barbeques on the balcony of any property.
Help to stop contamination
Incorrect items in your black bin mean that waste cannot be recycled and has to be disposed of separately. This incurs further cost and impacts the environment.
To stop contamination, please click here to find out what can and can't be put in your bin.
Heath Town high rise blocks
Please ensure that the landing chute room doors are kept shut and not propped open, as this is a fire safety requirement within these blocks.
