Wolverhampton Homes are proud to announce the launch of our first-ever Community Chest, giving local projects the opportunity to bid for funding of up to £5000. If you are a Wolverhampton-based group or non-profit organisation that prides itself on improving the lives of local people, then we want to help you.
As part of our new ‘Giving Something Back’ strategy launched in November 2022, we are committed to building strong partnerships with organisations that, together, can help us to do more for the people in our communities.
What is the Community Chest?
Our Community Chest is a funding programme, usually for bids of between £50 and £1000 to help support small and medium-sized projects across the city of Wolverhampton. You will need to show that your project will support our key priorities by helping local residents in something connected to one of the following areas:
- Learning, training and employment opportunities
- Digital inclusion
- Environmental and carbon reduction
- Health and wellbeing
- Social isolation and loneliness (including community spaces)
- Community safety
Whether you’re involved in an existing project or have an amazing idea for a new initiative that you want to create to support people across the city, we want to hear from you! You’ll need to complete a short application form online to tell us more about the fantastic work you plan to do in our communities.
To celebrate the launch of our new ‘Giving something back’ strategy and the Community Chest, we are offering one-off grants of up to £5000!
If you have a larger project in mind - or perhaps you are ready to expand an existing initiative to cover a wider area and reach more people – this could be just what you need!
