Home Fire Safety Week 2023

At Wolverhampton Homes we take fire safety very seriously and we are proud to be once again supporting Home Fire Safety Week.

An annual campaign led by the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), Home Fire Safety Week shines a spotlight on how the main risks of fire can be easily prevented. Even though approximately 90% of UK households now have a working smoke alarm fitted, fire fatalities still occur, and show why it’s so important we all play our part.

Nick Lacey, Building Safety Manager said
“At Wolverhampton Homes our Building Safety team work tirelessly to keep our properties safe from the risk of fire, but we can’t do it alone.”
“From heating your home and cooking a meal, through to charging a mobile phone or e-scooter, every resident needs to know how to do these everyday tasks safely. Not only are they protecting themselves, but their family and neighbours too.”

If any customer thinks they may need help to leave their home in an emergency, or wants further advice on fire safety they should contact us straight away and we can arrange a visit from one of our fire safety officers. They will work with you to create a plan to suit your individual needs.
