Julie, our Director of Corporate Services, has been chosen by Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) members as the organisation’s next Vice President.
Julie will officially take the role following the CIH’s annual general meeting in October 2024 and will work alongside Elly Holt, who is CIH President. The housing sector plays an essential role in society, and the role will provide an opportunity, alongside her role as Director - Corporate Services to drive professionalism, care and passion.
Julie said:
“I am truly honoured and humbled to have been selected as the next Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
“All the candidates were deserving this year, and we should be proud that we have such great talent within the CIH and within housing. I have a passion for the positive impact, we as housing professionals, can make on people, places and areas we work in.”
Geraldine Howley, chair of CIH’s governing board, said:
“As a dedicated and truly passionate housing professional, I am looking forward to welcoming Julie to our presidential team in October.
"We had three incredible candidates for this year’s election – Julie, Thomas and Hony should be extremely proud of their campaign and their phenomenal commitment to the housing sector. I’d like to say a personal thank you to all three of you for supporting CIH and our members.”
Gavin Smart, CIH chief executive, added:
“I am sure that Julie will bring huge energy and passion, and together, her and Elly Holt will make an excellent presidential team.”
The CIH is a registered charity, not-for-profit organisation and is the professional body for people who work in housing. It is the independent voice for housing and the home of professional standards.
